Miller Pest & Termite is now accepting applications for a full-time CSR position with advancement opportunities at our Des Moines location.

Main responsibilities would be answering incoming phone calls, calling/communicating with new and current customers, miscellaneous administrative tasks, and working closely with 3-4 individuals of our office staff.


Additional responsibilities would be to coordinate with our service team. This would include setting and/or re-allocating notified, pre-set, and new appointments on each monthly service schedule. The goal is to create the most efficient route for each route technician in their specified territory. This is done by maintaining a certain number of stops in 1 day by decreasing the mileage/drive time possible for a particular day and still meeting the challenges of specific appointment time requirements, company policies, and customer expectations.

Duties Include:


  • Demonstrating excellent communication skills in person or on the phone with our customers, technicians, managers, and other office personnel
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Miller Pest & Termite’s brand and services
  • Performing administrative duties as instructed and any other related duties as assigned
  • Is an excellent problem solver
  • Is courteous answering telephone calls
  • Displaying proper etiquette in handling and resolving customer questions/concerns including the occasional “difficult” customer
  • Efficient with time management
  • Maintaining professionalism
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Detail-oriented possessing excellent organizational skills
  • Works well in a team environment or one-on-one
  • We are a very busy office at times; Must be able to work well under pressure


We Require this Position To:

  • Show a stable work history
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check
  • Have worked 2 or more years in jobs dealing with the public
  • Excellent with computers and technology including programs such as excel, google drive, dropbox, etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
